Mercer Island

East Bound

Arrive from Seattle on the I-90 Floating Bridge. Follow the bicycle path up hill and cross W Mercer Way. The bicycle path continues up hill onto the I-90 Lid Park. Just past the top of the hill you take the left fork of the path under the 72nd Ave SE viaduct. It curves right near the park rest rooms and heads down hill paralleling the north side of the freeway. Cross 76th Ave SE at the bottom of the hill and follow the bicycle path on north side of N. Mercer Way. Pass by the Mercer Island Park and Ride. This area can sometimes be congested with commuters waiting for buses. Continue on the bicycle path as it parallels N Mercer Way and I-90. The trails continues onto the north side of the East Channel Bridge to Bellevue.

West Bound

After crossing the East Channel Bridge from Bellevue, the bicycle path curves to the right. The bike path parallels I-90 and N Mercer Way. After the Mercer Island Park and Ride, it crosses 76th Ave SE, curves to the right, and climbs the hill onto the I-90 Lid Park. Follow the trail up the hill, under the 72nd Ave SE viaduct, and then down the hill to W Mercer Way. Cross W Mercer Way and continue on the trail onto the I-90 floating bridge to Seattle.
